L'Oreal Detox Clay Mask | Lisa's Beauty Spot

L'Oreal Detox Clay Mask

Hi everyone! This is my 60th post!! How exciting! After seeing everyone rave about this mask, I knew I had to try it. I was far too scared to try those masks you peel off! I got my mask from Superdrug for £5.29 (It was on sale, it's normally £7.99) along with the L'Oreal Detox Foaming wash (I'll post about this soon!)

The star ingredient in this mask is Kaolin Clay, which is what sucks all the impurities out of your skin. This mask has three clays in it- Kaolin, Montmorillonite (Which is rich in minerals) and Ghassoul (Which is used for brightening and clarifying the complexion)

I've found this product to be, well to put no finer point on it amazing for my skin. After just one use my skin was super soft and looked so much brighter. I've been using it for just over two weeks now (I use it 2-3 times a week) and the improvement to my skin is amazing. My skin is glowing, my makeup goes on a lot smoother and looks... Better haha.

I apply a thin layer with a foundation brush, as I feel like I always make a mess with my fingers, I leave it on for 10-15 mins, wash it off with warm water and a wash cloth. And I'm left with soft, glowy skin. I'm honestly so impressed with this. You don't need a lot, I've read some reviews where others have said that it's hard to remove - I can only imagine this being a problem if you put a really thick layer on.

You can see in these photos how it sucks all the rubbish out of your pores (EWWW) it's so effective. You feel a lot cleaner after using this. I wouldn't recommend using it more than 2-3 times a week however, as it would be very drying.

All in all, I really recommend this mask. It's a fantastic product, and great value for money.

Makeup Revolution Flawless Eye Shadow Palette | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Makeup Revolution Flawless Eye Shadow Palette

Hi everyone! So recently I've been practising my eyeshadow more and more, and I've been looking out for affordable and high end eyeshadow palettes! I came across Makeup Revolution's Ultra Eyeshadows. This is the Flawless palette. They have the Flawless 2, Flawless Matte and Flawless 2 matte, which I have and will be sharing with you soon!

I'm going to be honest, I didn't expect much from this palette, it retails for £8 in Superdrug and, to be honest - it is very rarely in stock. I got mine in store, and it was the last one in there. Even the lady serving me said I was very lucky to get hold of it, because apparently when they get them in, they all fly out the door within no time at all. This palette is amazing!! It has 32 super pigmented, super pretty and super blendable shades, ranging from neutrals to browns to a few pretty burgendys. This palette is amazing for a beginner (like me) because you can create so many looks with it.

They is, a little bit of fall out with this palette - but come on, for £8 (25p a shadow!!!!I don't think this really matters! What matters is how amazing it is. It's so affordable. The packaging is very sturdy, and I think it's perfect travel size. It also has a great mirror.

I am so happy I got hold of this palette, I really recommend it. For £8 you really can't go wrong.

I look forward to sharing my opinion of the other Flawless palettes with you very soon!

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation

I got Urban Decays All Nighter Foundation for Christmas. I'm in the shade 0.5, which is their lightest shade. Urban Decay if definitely becoming one of my favourite brands! I just want to try everything!

It seems I was very lucky to be able to get my shade, cos it seems since I've been looking it's pretty much out of stock everywhere!

So, what do Urban Decay say? - "All Nighter Liquid Foundation provides full coverage with a modern matte finish that never looks overdone. Get serious long-lasting wear and a blown-out effect you never thought was possible. Perfect for all-night affairs and other scandalous activities, our revolutionary formula is also comfortable enough to wear every day. While Naked Skin complexion products are demi-matte, All Nighter Liquid Foundation is completely matte—but never flat (and it’s oil-free!). We loaded this formula with an insane amount of pigment (about three times as much as Naked Skin Liquid Makeup), so a little goes a long way. There’s no need to build coverage or apply multiple layers. This waterproof, paraben-free formula diffuses light to blur flaws for beautifully perfected skin as it mattifies and absorbs oil to reduce the appearance of shine." (Taken from the Urban Decay website)

Like I say, I got this for Christmas as I was lusting over it when it came out, so quickly added it to my Christmas List! The packaging is very pretty! I like it, I think it stands out a lot from other foundation bottles. It come with a pump. As for the product itself I LOVE IT! When it says full coverage, it really means it. It covers up every imperfection, and doesn't look cakey or junked up on your face, like some full coverage foundations can. I do find that it dries quickly, so you do have to work quite quickly with it, but it's quite easy once you get the hang of it. I always apply it with my damp BeautyBlender.

I suffer with normal/dry skin, and this claims to be for normal/oily skin, if I have dry patches it does cling to them, which is why I always make sure to properly exfoliate before using this product. I am not usually the lightest shade in a foundation, I'm usually the second or sometimes even third lightest - but this foundation does oxidise by one shade, so do bear that in mind. I would recommend getting colour matched in store rather than buying online just to be safe.

There are 24 shades in this range, all with pinky, yellow and neutral undertones. There are 21 in the Naked Skin range, so they've added another three to the All Nighter range.

These are my thoughts on the foundation, I honestly love it and I'm so excited that I got it, it's become a holy grail in my makeup collection.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette

I'm so glad to be back! I've missed you all so much! But, I've got so much to write about and share with you all! My birthday was on the 15th February and I got loads of pretties! So plenty to blog about, without further ado, I'm going to share my thoughts on the Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay.

I got the Naked 2 Palette from Mark for my birthday, I've been lusting after it for a while, and it's so so pretty! He got it from the Urban Decay website for £39.50. There are 12 beautiful shadows ranging from taupe neutrals to more darker shades, including black. The shades are; Foxy (which is a beautiful cream matte), Half Baked (a very pretty golden bronze shimmer), Booty Call (a stunning cork shimmer), Chopper (gorgeous copper shimmer with silver glitter), Tease (beautiful creamy pale brown matte), Snakebite (a dark bronze shimmer), Suspect (a pale golden beige shimmer), Pistol (a light grayish brown shimmer), Verve (a pale shimmer), YDK (a cool bronze shimmer with a metallic base), Busted (a deep brown shimmer), Blackout (the blackest black matte)

Here are some swatches from the palette. (Top with flash, bottom without)

These swatches are in order left to right and the names of them can be seen at the top of the post.

They are beautifully pigmented, and the shimmers are beautiful! I've been lusting after this palette forever! I'm so glad I have it!!

I thought I'd share some looks I've done with this palette.

I'm still learning the basics of eyeshadow, so these looks are nowhere near perfect. This is more of an evening look I created with the darker shadows.

This is more of a daytime look I created with some of the bronzy shades. I had a lot of fun creating these looks, like I say though, I'm still learning!

All in all, I'm so happy with this palette. The shadows are so buttery and a dream to blend, it's a must have for anyone's collection (I know I'm a bit behind, as this is a cult fav - BUT I'm getting there) if you're thinking about getting this palette, DO IT!! I highly recommend it!!

The UK Urban Decay website is fab! They ship using DPD and I usually have my orders within 2-3days which is amazing! I highly recommend using the Urban Decay website, as you get to choose some amazing free samples along with ANY order!
