Lisa And Mark's Disney Trip | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Lisa And Mark's Planned Disney World Vacation 2015-2016 (Not sure when yet...)

If you follow me on Twitter you may have seen my post about me and Mark planning a trip to Disney World in Orlando. And I wanted to share some details with you. Mainly ideas about when we'd like to go and our last trip to Disney in 2014. I also visited Walt Disney World in 2010 when I was sixteen.

We would either like to go in Winter 2015 or Spring/Summer 2016. We haven't quite decided yet. It's going to be a Disney holiday. The hotel we'd like to stay in is The Grand Floridan Resort and Spa which is a beautiful Victorian hotel which is also very modern. It's one stop on the Monorail to Magic Kingdom. The Resort has a pool with a waterslide, three fine dining restaurants, one character dining restaurant, one casual dining restaurant, two lounges and three quick service restaurants. The Resort also offers 24 hour room service. All the restaurants can be viewed here.

There is a spa in the Grand Floridan Resort. The spa is called Senses. The services offered include lots of different massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and spa packages. They also offer treatments for children. The prices for adults range from $55 to $495. And for the children $30 to $45.

Magic Kingdom is probably the best known park of all the Walt Disney World parks. There are 41 attractions. In the Disney Castle there is the restaurant Cinderella's Royal Table. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can dine with the princesses, they actually come up to your table which is a lovely touch. Here is the breakfast menu offered, the lunch and of course dinner. A picture below is Cinderella's Royal Table.

Epcot is another well known park. There are 34 attractions. There are lives shows including the fireworks every night. You can meet Snow White, Princess Aurora, (Sleeping Beauty) Mulan, Mary Poppins, and also Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy! There are plenty more and can be seen here, there are just so many to name! There are plenty of places to eat in Epcot including the famous Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. There is also character dining and a buffet offered. They also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here is the breakfast menu, the lunch and the dinner. Below is a picture of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is one of the parks I haven't spent that much time in. I spent most of my time in Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Hollywood Studios is full of action and fun for all ages. There are ten attractions including the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. There is lots of entertainment, including Beauty and The Beast - Live on Stage and Indiana Jones - Epic Stunt Spectacular. There are lots of shops, as there are in all the parks. There are also 26 restaurants in Hollywood Studios ranging from character and casual, to fine dining. The photo below is Mickey's Sorcerer Hat, and I can assure you, you certainly won't miss it!

Disney's Animal Kingdom is the other park I've not spent much time in. It is home to more than 1,700 animals across 250 species. There are 28 attractions in Animal Kingdom, including Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, a thrilling roller coaster ride. There are lots of shows in Animal Kingdom, one example is Finding Nemo - The Musical which I'd really like to see, and The Festival of The Lion King, which I'd also really like to see. There are lots of dining options in Animal Kingdom, as there are in all the Disney parks. There are twenty restaurants to choose from which are all casual and character dining. Below is a picture of the entrance into Animal Kingdom.

I am not sure if we're going to be visiting the water parks (which are Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.) but I would like to! I visited Typhoon Lagoon in 2012 and it was amazing. It was a lovely hot day (around 34c) and it wasn't too busy. At Typhoon Lagoon they have waterslides, a children's pool, a lazy river and a huge wave pool. There are six dining options which include ice-cream stalls, pulled pork and burgers. Blizzard Beach also has water slides, run-off rapids and even a toboggan racer slide. The dining options are pretty much the same as Typhoon Lagoon, they have eight different restaurants. I haven't been to Blizzard Beach and that makes it all the more exciting to hopefully visit. Below are pictures of Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

Typhoon Lagoon

There is also Downtown Disney which I visited once before in 2014. It is free to enter and features world-class restaurants including The Boathouse which is a fine dining restaurant, which offers steak and seafood. They offer lunch and dinner. Here is an example of their dinner menu. Live music plays around Downtown Disney, you can't help but dance and sing along. It's a very happy vibe. It's more shopping and dining.. And worth a visit! Below is a picture of Downtown Disney.

All of the Disney Parks have ATM's, designated smoking areas, The Disney PhotoPass Service, (Staff members take photos of you all around the parks, with their own professional cameras) FastPass Kiosks for FastPass users, Guest relations, Lost and Found, Nikon Perfect Picture spots, buggy (stroller) and wheelchair hire and baby care centres. There are of course, lots of bathrooms and baby change areas spread out throughout the parks.

There is free transport to all four parks, you can choose the bus, monorail or ferry.

The ferry is amazing. We went on the boat in 2014 and loved it. Here is a picture of the ferry.

Finally, here are some photos of me and Mark in Disney World, Orlando in March 2014! Enjoy!

These are all professional photographs we had taken by the staff working at Disney World.

Here are a few photos I took myself!

This is a Disney Portrait I had draw by a lovely lady who worked at Disney called Erin. She was lovely.

This is the entrance to Magic Kingdom

And of course, the is Cinderella's Castle.

I look forward to sharing my Disney adventures with you in the future!
Have you been to any of the Disney Parks? Or even Orlando?

Michael Kors Wishlist | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Michael Kors Wishlist

I have been looking to purchase (once all the money is saved) a few Michael Kors items. I've been looking at different styles of handbag ect and I think I'm finally all decided on what I'd like to eventually buy.

Okay, so my most wanted MK product would have to be the Jet Set Travel Saffiano Leather Tote in the colour Luggage. It is beautiful! It's not too small and it's not too big. I saw it in the Michael Kors store in the Florida Mall for $278 (Which is £178) and in the British Michael Kors store on Oxford Street it's £260, so it's more than likely I'm going to be buying my MK wish list in America.

This is the matching purse to the bag above. This costs £125 and it's gorgeous! It will be the most expensive purse I've owned, but it'll be so worth it.

I love this watch so much! It's the Parker PavĂ© Silver-Tone Watch. I saw it in America and fell in love! I saw it in an Outlet Store in Florida. It's $275 (Which is £176) in the Michael Kors store, and over here it's £259. So once again, another American purchase. It has quite a large face, which is great for me... As my eyes are so, so bad. I love silver. This also comes in blue, gold and rose gold.

And finally, these beautiful sunglasses! They're the 'Harper Tortoise-Brown' and I love them. Once I get a tan I'm pretty sure the brown complexion will go great with these, until then... No!! I can't find a price for these, but I remember seeing them in Sunglass Hut.

It's more than likely all these will be bought in the States. So much cheaper! Plus, Florida is beautiful! If you've never been, I'd seriously recommend it!

Do you have any Michael Kors accessories? What do you have?

Holiday Essentials: Long Flights and Tropical Climate | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Holiday Essentials

I fly a lot, mainly to America for long periods of time. Long flights and hot sunshine takes it's effect on your skin. I like to purchase plenty of things to moisturise my skin with on the plane. I do get very dry skin whilst flying, it's the recycled air and pressure changes that does it for me. And then, of course when you land there's the awful jet lag. Tiredness makes my skin very dull and dry so a deep moisturiser is necessary

I love Boots! Even there own brands are fantastic and I own a lot of their products. I was given these little flight sized products for Christmas, and I put them away for our holiday. The Cocoa Butter is fantastic to be used as a facial moisturiser, and I used it a lot on the plane. The coconut body scrub is great. It's a salt scrub and I've used it once or twice. The strawberry body wash smells like strawberry ice cream, I used it first when we landed in New York in the hotel. It smells strongly even after you've rinsed it off. I had a lot of people telling me I smelled nice, which was odd, but a nice compliment - least their not telling me I'm offensive and smell! I'd recommend all three of these. They're small enough to be brought on a plane, and they came in a box.

Of course, if you're going somewhere hot you need a nice pair of sunglasses, so here are my rather lovely wayfarer Ray Bans. I bought these in Sunglass Hut in Stratford in February 2014 for our trip last year, and I've loved them. I'm planning on buying a new pair this year. More like this style, they're the Clubmaster folding. Here is the link to my glasses pictured, I love them. And they're polarised! (Excuse the specs of dust, I did try to clean them!)

Once again, here is my beautiful Zoella cosmetic bag from Superdrug. It is the perfect size for carrying make up, perfume and small creams. I normally buy things like aftersun and products that you can't get here in the UK, so I may leave room to pack these products on the way home. I've brought this bag with me on business trips to Leeds to carry my make up and medication. I love it and seriously recommend it, it's not too big and not too small.

If I'm flying, I always carry some kind of face wipe. Whether they be baby wipes, make-up wipes or anti-bacterial. I don't wear much make up whilst flying. Only mascara and probably eyebrow pencil. I buy these wipes in bulk, they're not expensive (like, £1.50?) but they are great at getting all that gunk off my face, and help keep my skin refreshed and clean during a flight. They're very gentle, and quite good at removing make-up. They don't touch my mascara however, which is unsurprising because most of the time I wear Benefit: They're Real mascara.

This is the mascara I wear on flights or long journeys. It's the Volume Million Lashes: Extra Black by L'Oreal. It's not heavy or clumpy and is ideal for this. I don't bring much make up on holiday with me, unless it's in England. If I'm going away to America I'll more than likely buy foundation and concealer over there, because I'll get a tan and won't have the right shade. I always pack my Accessorize Baked Bronzer in shade Laguna. Amazingly, you can buy this now for £1.80 off their site. I paid £6 for this, and I have loved it. Finally, the Dermalogica Barrier Repair is one of my favourite Dermalogica products. Amazingly, this works as a great make-up primer and it really does help your make-up sit and stay in place. It costs £36.90, but is so worth it and is also great for flights. It does what it says on the tube. Protects the skin barrier. It is also part of the UltraCalming range.

These sandals were given to me as a gift, and I've loved them. They're Guess and gold. If you're going anywhere hot you need a sturdy pair of shoes that will protect your feet from blisters (and I've had my fair share of blisters in my time... Fairly larger than average) these have been great for that. I would recommend them, if you can find a pair similar even better. I couldn't find any online.

Having pretty nails is everything to me! I used to bite my nails really badly but I stopped nearly three years ago and now I keep them regularly manicured so I'm not at all tempted! My favourite nail polish brand is Barry M! I love their Gelly polishes, I need to get more! They are so shiny and they last well! From left to right the shades are 317: Blue Moon, 351: Papaya and GNP1: Plum. I do seriously recommend Barry M nail polishes, they last really well, chip free sometimes up to a week! And, of course there are lots of pretty colours and different types.

Of course, you need deodorant, body spray and perfume. I forgot to grab a body spray but I use the Charlie: Shimmer body spray which you can get from Superdrug or Boots for £1 most of the time! The perfume I bring on the plane with me is the Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum 40ml which is the perfect size to bring on a plane, I love it. It smells florally and very classy. And finally I normally buy a smaller deodorant to bring on the plane, either a roll on or one of these new compressed cans which are great. I couldn't find it but for the plane I bring the Vaseline Derma Beauty which is 75ml and perfect for lasting a whole holiday. However, I do normally bring two (just in case) and the Garnier Mineral Clean Sensation 48hr (pictured) is perfect for hot climate. I don't sweat with this, and that's something in the hot Florida sun! It smells clean and fresh. It says it lasts 48hrs, but I still apply everyday.

I'm always carrying Kleenex and a pen with me, they are essentials. You never know when you're going to need either, and I don't know how many people have asked me if I have a pen I can borrow, or Mark will ask me if I have a tissue. I think the tissues are a plane essential, I don't like hard toilet paper to blow my nose, so these Kleenex Balsam are perfect.

Eye masks are an essential flight need! If you're on a long flight or red eye overnight flight getting some sleep is always a plus! I struggle sleeping on planes, I flew Virgin: Upper Class in March 2014 - and your seat turns into a bed... And I still couldn't sleep. If you can sleep on planes however, most overnight flights give you an amenity kit with socks, mints, eyemask and ear plugs. This one is from a Virgin: Premium Economy flight. I really want to buy a memory foam eye mask for our next long flight.

What are your flight and holiday essentials? What would you recommend to me? Are you headed on holiday this year?

June Favourites 2015 | Lisa's Beauty Spot

June Favourites

So, the sun is finally out (and has kept it's head out for a while too!)

This is my second favourites blog since starting my blog. I have been urming and urring about what to put in this. But, I think I'm finally there and have everything ready (nervous face...)

Twilight Bath Bomb from Lush

So, all my regular readers know I'm a huge Lush fan and especially bath bombs. My love for the Twilight bath bomb grew a lot in June. I find this product to be extremely mood lifting and relaxing. It is fantastic before bed, and it really does help me sleep. If I could I would spend hours in a huge bath with two or three Twilights before bed! It looks pretty as well. Below is a picture of it fully dissolved in the bath. It does have glitter in it, so be warned you will come out of the bath looking like Edward Cullen.

Bare Minerals Concealer

I bought this concealer in America, and I honestly forgot about it. I found it in early June and now I beginning to run out. It is a fantastic concealer and I'm very happy with it. It is medium to full coverage and very lightweight. It helps cover dark circles, redness, pores and spots. It contains SPF 20 and it is a creamy formula. I found it lasts around 6-8 hours in place. Sometimes, I just wear this on it's own and it holds up well. In the UK you can buy it for £21 and I bought mine in the shade 'Light 1' which is the lightest shade. I bought mine in the Florida Mall, in Macy's for $19. Below are some more pictures.

Barry M Gelly: Plum

I needed a dark-ish shade for my toes (and, maybe my fingers... Not too sure yet) and I had a shellac pedicure a while ago and it was a dark-plumish colour, and I loved it. So, I wanted to find a similar product for those weeks I'm on budget. I bought this beautiful colour in late June for £3.99 in Superdrug. I bought them on a 2-for-1 deal, which was fantastic. Below is a picture of the lovely colour on my toes... With my awfully pale feet!

MUA Mosaic Blush

I have been loving on this pretty blusher over the last month! I will either put it over my bronzer or wear it on it's own over my foundation. I was on a budget at the time I bought it, I believe this cost me £2.49. For the price, it's fantastic! It is very pretty and lasts around 5-6 hours without needing to be re-done, which is convenient. I would seriously recommend this! If you have pale skin like me it does look nice. Mark has commented on this a few times when I've worn it and he says he loves it. The picture below shows all the different shades in the pallet, they all blend together into a pretty pink.

Grapefruit Face Wipes from Forever 21

I'm probably not going to shock you, but once again these were an American purchase from the HUGE Forever 21 store in the Florida Mall. These are amazing! I bought quite a few packs, and I believe I'm on my last three or four. I just looked on the American Forever 21 site and they now do a pack of sixty of these, which I will be getting next time I go over. So, I saw these and I've heard about the benefits of grapefruit to the skin. It's very cleansing and smells amazing! The fruit is full of vitamins and has amazing health benefits! I have loved these, and really need to stock up soon! These cost me $2.90 a pack. If you see them, please grab them, they're fabulous! Below is a picture of the tag on the bag.

Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturiser

Once again, an American purchase! I use a lot more moisturiser in the warmer months, my skin can get quite dry, but it can also be the same in the winter months. I remember seeing this on an advert, and wanted to try it out. I went into Walmart and bought this in the cocoa variety. There is also aloe and deep moisturising variety. The cocoa smells amazing, and I'd like to get hold of the other two. I paid about $8 for the bigger sized can and it's nearly all gone. It's deeply moisturising and drys really quick. If I'm gonna put it on my face, I spray it on my palm and rub it in. Takes under thirty seconds! It's so convenient! More pictures below.

Ralph Lauren Big Pony Womens Collection

This was my first ever Christmas present from Mark back in Christmas 2012. I've been using it a lot more this month than what I've used it in nearly three years! It's a pretty floral-flowery smell, and I love it. I never want it to run out, it's really sentimental. I don't know how much it cost, but I would recommend it. This is Number 2 and I love the pretty pink bottle. It's a summer perfume. More pictures below.

So these are my June Favourites! I've loved on them, and I can't wait to share my July Favourites with you next month!

Have you used any of the products mentioned? What did you think? What do you recommend me to purchase and try for my July Favourites?

Thank you for reading!
