June Favourites 2015 | Lisa's Beauty Spot

June Favourites

So, the sun is finally out (and has kept it's head out for a while too!)

This is my second favourites blog since starting my blog. I have been urming and urring about what to put in this. But, I think I'm finally there and have everything ready (nervous face...)

Twilight Bath Bomb from Lush

So, all my regular readers know I'm a huge Lush fan and especially bath bombs. My love for the Twilight bath bomb grew a lot in June. I find this product to be extremely mood lifting and relaxing. It is fantastic before bed, and it really does help me sleep. If I could I would spend hours in a huge bath with two or three Twilights before bed! It looks pretty as well. Below is a picture of it fully dissolved in the bath. It does have glitter in it, so be warned you will come out of the bath looking like Edward Cullen.

Bare Minerals Concealer

I bought this concealer in America, and I honestly forgot about it. I found it in early June and now I beginning to run out. It is a fantastic concealer and I'm very happy with it. It is medium to full coverage and very lightweight. It helps cover dark circles, redness, pores and spots. It contains SPF 20 and it is a creamy formula. I found it lasts around 6-8 hours in place. Sometimes, I just wear this on it's own and it holds up well. In the UK you can buy it for £21 and I bought mine in the shade 'Light 1' which is the lightest shade. I bought mine in the Florida Mall, in Macy's for $19. Below are some more pictures.

Barry M Gelly: Plum

I needed a dark-ish shade for my toes (and, maybe my fingers... Not too sure yet) and I had a shellac pedicure a while ago and it was a dark-plumish colour, and I loved it. So, I wanted to find a similar product for those weeks I'm on budget. I bought this beautiful colour in late June for £3.99 in Superdrug. I bought them on a 2-for-1 deal, which was fantastic. Below is a picture of the lovely colour on my toes... With my awfully pale feet!

MUA Mosaic Blush

I have been loving on this pretty blusher over the last month! I will either put it over my bronzer or wear it on it's own over my foundation. I was on a budget at the time I bought it, I believe this cost me £2.49. For the price, it's fantastic! It is very pretty and lasts around 5-6 hours without needing to be re-done, which is convenient. I would seriously recommend this! If you have pale skin like me it does look nice. Mark has commented on this a few times when I've worn it and he says he loves it. The picture below shows all the different shades in the pallet, they all blend together into a pretty pink.

Grapefruit Face Wipes from Forever 21

I'm probably not going to shock you, but once again these were an American purchase from the HUGE Forever 21 store in the Florida Mall. These are amazing! I bought quite a few packs, and I believe I'm on my last three or four. I just looked on the American Forever 21 site and they now do a pack of sixty of these, which I will be getting next time I go over. So, I saw these and I've heard about the benefits of grapefruit to the skin. It's very cleansing and smells amazing! The fruit is full of vitamins and has amazing health benefits! I have loved these, and really need to stock up soon! These cost me $2.90 a pack. If you see them, please grab them, they're fabulous! Below is a picture of the tag on the bag.

Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturiser

Once again, an American purchase! I use a lot more moisturiser in the warmer months, my skin can get quite dry, but it can also be the same in the winter months. I remember seeing this on an advert, and wanted to try it out. I went into Walmart and bought this in the cocoa variety. There is also aloe and deep moisturising variety. The cocoa smells amazing, and I'd like to get hold of the other two. I paid about $8 for the bigger sized can and it's nearly all gone. It's deeply moisturising and drys really quick. If I'm gonna put it on my face, I spray it on my palm and rub it in. Takes under thirty seconds! It's so convenient! More pictures below.

Ralph Lauren Big Pony Womens Collection

This was my first ever Christmas present from Mark back in Christmas 2012. I've been using it a lot more this month than what I've used it in nearly three years! It's a pretty floral-flowery smell, and I love it. I never want it to run out, it's really sentimental. I don't know how much it cost, but I would recommend it. This is Number 2 and I love the pretty pink bottle. It's a summer perfume. More pictures below.

So these are my June Favourites! I've loved on them, and I can't wait to share my July Favourites with you next month!

Have you used any of the products mentioned? What did you think? What do you recommend me to purchase and try for my July Favourites?

'Man In The Mushroom Mask' - Lush face mask - Oxford Street Exclusive | Lisa's Beauty Spot

'Man In The Mushroom Mask' Lush face mask

I went on a massive Lush haul (Of mainly bath bombs) in the Oxford Street branch. Me and Mark plan to go back soon, as it was amazing and like every Lush store the staff bent over backwards to help.

Me and Mark both bought a face mask each. I will be blogging about Marks when he gets round to using it. I bought 'The Man In The Mushroom Mask' ...mask. It is an Oxford Street exclusive!!! The main ingredients in this mask are oyster mushrooms and avocado which helps to soften the skin, aloe which soothes and calms and turmeric powder which brightens the skin. It is supposed to be fantastic for dry skin, which (apart from the smell which I really liked) was the reason I bought it. You also need to keep it in the fridge!

Now, as you can see.. It's a lovely colour! No. It's not, it really does look like poop. But once it's on it really doesn't look like you've smeared s**t all over your face.

The pot said to apply to your face or body. I've only tried my face so far and I've never had a face mask that said you could use it on your body, so I'm looking forward to trying that. I didn't keep it on for 10-15 minutes. I kept it on for an hour, like the lady in Lush said she does with all her Lush masks. And, I'm really glad I did.

You know when you've been tangoed! Yes, it goes 'Essex Girl Orange' when you put it on, and Mark kept laughing at me! It takes about 5-7 minutes to dry and once it does it doesn't crack and you can move your face like normal, which is nice because most masks make my face feel heavy and that if I talk I'm gonna have crumbled bits of mask all over me.

After I removed the mask, my skin felt clean and hydrated. It was very soft and it still is now the evening after. I would recommend this mask to anyone with dry and sensitive skin. I do feel my skin looks a lot fresher and healthier looking after just one use. I'm looking forward to future uses.

Sorry about my gormless, tired look. I used the mask after a long train ride home from Leeds to Hertfordshire. Four hours on a train made me feel grubby and eww! So I couldn't wait to get home and put this on!

Have you used any of Lush's face masks? What are your favourites? And are there any that you would recommend to me to try?

Thank you for reading!
