Lush Cosmetics: Let The Good Times Roll Face And Body Cleanser | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Lush Cosmetics: Let The Good Times Roll Face and Body Cleanser

My 40th Blog Post!!

I use Let The Good Times Roll as a facial and body scrub. It is a gentle exfoliant, which smells like buttery popcorn.

You mix the product with water to make a paste, and then massage into the face or body and then rinse off with warm water.

Let The Good Times Roll was originally realised as a limited edition Christmas product in 2012, and then it returned on the shelves to stay in 2014. (I believe)

It is a very good cleanser, but doesn't completely remove dry skin though. However, it isn't very drying either so would probably be better for normal skin types.

Another major downside to this cleanser is the pieces of popcorn that are inside it. They're just an annoyance - and they are off course an irritant to the skin, being sharp, scratchy and honestly, they are just pretty useless. I also found loads of pieces of kernel skins, which I scratched myself with a few times, not noticing they were there. A complete pain in the backside!

I'd say overall, this product is okay. It cleanses the skin just fine, but has quite a few let downs and there are much better cleansers that I already use. Which I will be sticking to in the future.

This 100gram pot costs £6.95, you can also buy a 250gram pot for £17.35. To all my American readers you can buy a 3.5oz pot for $12.95 and a 8.8oz pot for $31.95. In Canada, they are the same price in 100gram and 250gram pots.

Lush Cosmetics: Ultrabland Facial Cleanser | Lisa's Beauty Spot

Lush Cosmetics: Ultrabland Facial Cleanser

Me and my boyfriend Mark have been together 38 months today (Three years, two months) Happy Monthversary Lovely! <3

Also, my 40th blog post! Woooo! :D

Today, I will be reviewing the famous, but vastly overlooked Ultrabland. I wanted a cleanser that was going to help with my very dry skin, that I was going to use before make-up applications. The lady helping me in Lush suggested Ultrabland, which is an oil based beeswax and rose cream cleanser.

I was concerned about using such an oily product on my skin, because I was worried about blocked pores and breakouts. I have been using this product for around nine weeks, and I haven't had any serious breakouts (Only during that awful Time Of The Month) but no product in the world is going to sort out raging, female hormones. (Unfortunately)

I agree with what the pot says. It is ultra effective, and this is now part of my night time routine. I cannot live without this product now. My skin feels like a babies bum. Soft, smooth and breakout free!

The product is very thick. And a little goes a long way! You apply it to damp skin and rub it around problem areas, and all around the face. You then remove with a warm flannel or cleansing pads (cotton pads, sponge pads.) I then use the Lush Skins Shangri La Facial Moisturiser. (The link is to my blog post about the moisturiser)

The main ingredients are rose water, almond oil, fresh iris extract and honey. Rose water is calming and soothing, almond oil for hydration of the skin, (and hair) fresh iris extract is aromatic and soothing and honey is deeply moisturising and antiseptic.

I also use Ultrabland as a makeup remover, and it is fantastic at removing make up. It is an all around great product.

My skin has never looked this good, and I'm going to try leaving it on for a while whilst I get ready for bed.

This is a 100gram pot, and costs £11.95. You can also buy a 45gram pot for £7.50. For what it does, I think it is a great price!

For all my American readers, you can buy a 1.5oz pot for $17.95 and a 3.5oz pot for $29.95. In Canada, it is the same price for a 45gram and 100gram pot.
