NARS Creamy Concealer | Lisa's Beauty Spot

NARS Creamy Concealer in shade Vanilla

My 50th Blog Post!

I bought this lovely concealer from Sephora along with the NARS Sheer Glow foundation. I'd heard good things, and needed a pale concealer that didn't go orange after a few hours.

This is the second lightest shade, Vanilla. It's a beautiful creamy texture and it glides on a dream. For the application, the product comes with a Doe Foot applicator, which is fantastic for easy application.

Pro's

- It's very high coverage, so you only need the smallest amount, so even though it's expensive, it will last a long time. It's great for covering blemishes and dark circles.

-  It's very easy to blend, which I find great as putting make-up on each day can take quite a lot of energy for me.

- It lasts a long time, a long lasting concealer these days are a blessing! I cannot be bothered reapplying any make-up so I'm happy about this.

- It comes in wide range of shades, with pink and yellow tones. There are ten shades all together and all of them can be seen here. Like I've said, I'm the shade Vanilla, which is Light 2.

- It's great to travel with, like many concealers it's great travel size, and NARS doesn't disappoint. I travel a lot, so I'm happy with that.

- The packaging is fantastic quality. It looks nice as well.

- It's great to wear on it's own without any foundation. A little bit under your eyes, on your blemishes and a bit of mascara does look quite natural.

Con's -

- It is, of course quite expensive. £22 for a concealer is on the high end, but it is worth it.

- The lid does get pretty grubby, which is frustrating. Yes, it can be cleaned with a baby wipe but it can get annoying. If I forget I always worry it's gonna get on my other make-up.

- It can set into fine lines, I am yet to get my hands on a setting spray, I'm going to get the Urbay Decay All Nighter setting spray which fixes this issue (Along with a lot of other make-up issues.

- I don't personally use my Real Techniques sponge to blend this, as I've heard it can make this concealer go kind of patchy and it can move which is so annoying... I've used a smaller brush and that has worked just fine.

- It sells out fast! ANNOYING! I was lucky..

It's on the more pricey side, at £22 but I definitely think it's worth it, it has medium to full coverage and it covers most blemishes and the dark circles under my eyes. (Which is a blessing when you suffer with Chronic Fatigue.)

It definitely gives your face a wake up. It's not cakey at all. Like all NARS products, the plastic does get dirty quite easily. I will say however, even though it says radiant it definitely is more matte when it dries, which I love - so if you're not looking for a matte finish this isn't the concealer for you.

My final verdict though, I do love it! And I'm glad I bought it. It's become my make-up go to in just a few weeks. It's great, I can wear just this and a bit of mascara if I can't be bothered with a full face of make up, and it looks like my own skin... But without all the spots and dark bags under my eyes.

Seriously, you need this product. If you get the chance, you should definitely get it!
